Article Processing Charges (APC)

The standard Article Processing Charge (APC) of the Journal of Green Economy and Optimization Research (JGEOR) is EUR 50 per accepted manuscript.

As part of the journal’s introductory publication support programme, a special discounted APC of EUR 20 applies to manuscripts accepted for publication until 31 December 2026.

From 1 January 2027, the standard APC of EUR 50 will apply.

No payment is required at the time of submission. The APC is payable only after the manuscript has successfully completed the editorial assessment and peer-review process and has been formally accepted for publication. Authors should not make any payment before receiving official payment instructions from the JGEOR Editorial Office.

The APC covers editorial processing and peer-review management, manuscript screening and quality checks, publication and production services, issuance of a Certificate of Publication, digital preservation, and the submission of published article metadata to the databases and indexing services in which JGEOR is currently included, where applicable and subject to the policies, eligibility criteria and technical requirements of each service.

Payment of the APC does not influence editorial decisions or guarantee acceptance of a manuscript. All submissions are evaluated solely on their academic quality, relevance, originality and compliance with the journal’s editorial policies.

Open Access and Licensing

JGEOR is a fully Open Access journal. All published articles are freely accessible to readers worldwide and are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license.

Payment Instructions

Detailed payment instructions will be provided by the Editorial Office only after a manuscript has been formally accepted for publication.

When making a payment, authors should provide:

  • Manuscript ID

  • Article title

  • Corresponding author’s full name

Important Conditions
  • Eligibility is determined using the corresponding author's verified primary affiliation at the time of initial submission.
  • Institutional and GEM discounts do not influence editorial decisions or peer review.
  • Discounts are applied only after formal acceptance of the manuscript.
  • Where an author qualifies for more than one discount, the highest applicable discount will be used.
  • Discounts are calculated from the APC applicable at the time of acceptance.
  • JGEOR reserves the right to verify institutional affiliation before applying a waiver or discount.
  • Eligibility lists and GEM country classifications may be reviewed periodically.

*The current promotional APC is EUR 20 until 31 December 2026. The standard APC will be EUR 50 from 1 January 2027.
