Author Guidelines

The Journal of Green Economy and Optimization Research (JGEOR) welcomes original, high-quality scholarly contributions related to green economy, sustainable development, environmental economics, green finance, optimization, renewable energy, nature based solutions (NBS), circular economy, climate change, environmental sciences, digital transformation, and related interdisciplinary fields.

Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration by another journal at the time of submission.

Manuscripts should be written in clear academic English and submitted in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format. Research articles should normally include: Title, Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Literature Review where appropriate, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledgements where applicable, Funding Statement, Conflict of Interest Statement, Data Availability Statement, and References.

The abstract should normally contain 150–250 words and be accompanied by 4–6 keywords.

References and in-text citations should follow the APA 7th edition style. Tables and figures should be numbered consecutively, appropriately titled, and cited in the manuscript text.

Authors should provide their institutional affiliation, country, email address, and ORCID iD where available. All listed authors must have made a meaningful scholarly contribution to the work and must approve the submitted manuscript.

Authors are responsible for obtaining permission to reproduce copyrighted materials and for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all data presented.

Any financial or non-financial conflicts of interest must be disclosed. Funding sources should be clearly acknowledged.

The use of generative artificial intelligence or AI-assisted technologies in manuscript preparation must be transparently disclosed where applicable. AI tools may not be listed as authors.

Submissions that meet the journal's aims, scope, and basic editorial requirements will undergo double-blind peer review. Authors must therefore remove identifying information from the manuscript file intended for review.

Plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, duplicate publication, inappropriate authorship, manipulation of research results, and other forms of research misconduct are not acceptable.

JGEOR is a full open-access journal. Published articles are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) License.

Submission Preparation Checklist

  • The submission is original, has not been previously published, and is not currently under consideration by another journal.
  • The manuscript falls within the aims and scope of the Journal of Green Economy and Optimization Research.
  • The manuscript is written in clear academic English and has been prepared according to the journal's Author Guidelines.
  • The manuscript file has been submitted in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format.
  • The manuscript has been anonymized for double-blind peer review and identifying author information has been removed from the review file.
  • The title, abstract, keywords, author names, affiliations, and ORCID iDs where available have been entered accurately in the submission system.
  • References and in-text citations have been prepared according to APA 7th edition.
  • All tables, figures, and supplementary materials are appropriately numbered, titled, and cited in the manuscript.
  • All authors have made an appropriate scholarly contribution and have approved the submitted version.
  • Any funding sources and potential conflicts of interest have been disclosed.
  • Any use of generative artificial intelligence or AI-assisted tools has been appropriately disclosed where applicable.
  • The authors agree to the journal's open-access and copyright policies, including publication under the CC BY 4.0 License.

Research Articles

Research Articles present original empirical, theoretical, methodological, or applied research relevant to the aims and scope of the Journal of Green Economy and Optimization Research (JGEOR). Submissions should demonstrate a clear research question, appropriate methodology, substantive analysis, and a meaningful contribution to existing knowledge.

Research Articles normally include an abstract, keywords, introduction, relevant literature, materials and methods, results, discussion, conclusion, declarations, and references.

All Research Articles undergo initial editorial screening and, if considered suitable, double-blind peer review by independent experts.

Review Articles

Review Articles provide critical, systematic, scoping, or comprehensive syntheses of existing scholarly literature within the aims and scope of the Journal of Green Economy and Optimization Research (JGEOR). Reviews should clearly define their objectives, explain the literature selection and analysis approach where applicable, critically evaluate existing evidence, identify research gaps, and provide meaningful conclusions or directions for future research.

Systematic and scoping reviews should follow appropriate reporting standards where relevant. All Review Articles undergo initial editorial screening and double-blind peer review by independent experts.

Short Communications

Short Communications present concise, original, and timely research findings that make a clear contribution to the fields covered by the Journal of Green Economy and Optimization Research (JGEOR). These submissions may report preliminary results, novel methods, focused empirical findings, emerging datasets, or brief applied studies that do not require the length of a full Research Article.

Short Communications should be clearly structured, methodologically sound, and supported by appropriate evidence. All submissions undergo initial editorial screening and double-blind peer review by independent experts.

Perspectives and Commentaries

Perspectives and Commentaries provide concise, scholarly, and evidence-informed viewpoints on emerging issues, debates, policy developments, methodological questions, and research priorities relevant to the aims and scope of the Journal of Green Economy and Optimization Research (JGEOR).

Submissions should present a clear argument, engage critically with relevant literature or current developments, and offer a meaningful contribution to scholarly discussion. They may address conceptual, policy, methodological, or interdisciplinary issues.

Perspectives and Commentaries undergo initial editorial assessment and may be sent for double-blind peer review when deemed appropriate by the editors.
