JGEOR Editorial Seal Policy
1. Purpose of the Editorial Seal
The JGEOR Editorial Seal serves as an official editorial identification mark used on selected documents issued or approved by the Journal.
Its purpose is to support the consistent identification and authentication of editorial documents and communications originating from JGEOR.
The seal may be used on documents including:
- article acceptance letters;
- publication certificates;
- reviewer certificates;
- Editorial Board appointment or membership certificates;
- certificates of appreciation;
- official editorial correspondence;
- editorial decisions and internal records;
- letters of invitation or confirmation;
- other academic and administrative documents issued by the JGEOR Editorial Office.
2. Nature and Scope
The JGEOR Editorial Seal forms part of the Journal's visual and editorial identity. When applied to a document, it indicates that the document originates from, or has been approved for issue by, the JGEOR Editorial Office.
The seal is intended specifically for the Journal's publishing, editorial and academic communication activities and should be interpreted within that context.
3. Authorized Use
Use of the JGEOR Editorial Seal is subject to authorization by the Editor-in-Chief or by a person acting with delegated editorial authority.
The seal may only be applied to documents that have been formally issued, approved or recognized by the Journal.
Reproduction, modification or use of the seal without appropriate authorization is not permitted.
4. Electronic Use
A digital version of the JGEOR Editorial Seal may be used on electronically issued certificates, letters, editorial decisions and other official journal documents.
Digital and physical versions of the seal serve the same editorial identification purpose and may be used according to the format in which the relevant document is issued.
5. Document Verification
Where necessary, the authenticity of a document bearing the JGEOR Editorial Seal may be verified through the Journal's official communication channels or editorial records.
The presence of the seal should be considered together with other identifying information contained in the document, including the document title, date, reference details and authorized signatory where applicable.
6. Administration
The use, custody and administration of the JGEOR Editorial Seal are managed by the Editorial Office under the authority of the Editor-in-Chief.
The Journal may revise this policy when necessary to reflect changes in its editorial procedures, document management practices or institutional development.
