JGEOR Becomes an Organizational Signatory of the San Francisco Declaration on Research Assessment (DORA)
The Journal of Green Economy and Optimization Research (JGEOR) has officially joined the San Francisco Declaration on Research Assessment (DORA) as an organizational signatory. DORA is an international initiative that promotes the development and implementation of responsible approaches to research assessment. It encourages journals, universities, research organizations, funding bodies, and other stakeholders to assess research primarily on the basis of its scientific quality, content, contribution, and impact, rather than relying disproportionately on journal-level metrics.
JGEOR is currently one of only two organizations from Azerbaijan listed among DORA signatories. By becoming a DORA signatory, JGEOR reaffirms its commitment to responsible research assessment and to editorial practices that recognize the intrinsic value of individual research outputs. The journal supports transparent, fair, and evidence-based evaluation of scholarly work and encourages recognition of diverse research contributions. This commitment complements JGEOR's broader policies on research integrity, peer review, editorial independence, open access, and responsible scholarly communication.
