GEORL becomes a Crossref Member and launches DOI registration for its Journals

The Green Economy and Optimization Research Lab (GEORL) has officially become a member of Crossref, strengthening the digital publishing and metadata infrastructure of its scholarly journals.

Through its Crossref membership, GEORL is now able to register Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) for journal publications and associated scholarly metadata. This development supports persistent identification, reliable citation linking, long-term accessibility, and improved interoperability of journal metadata within the international scholarly communication ecosystem.

As the first implementation of this infrastructure, the Journal of Green Economy and Optimization Research (JGEOR) has been assigned the Crossref DOI prefix:

A journal-level DOI has also been registered for JGEOR:

https://doi.org/10.68210/jgeor

Future eligible publications of JGEOR will be assigned Crossref DOIs under this prefix, while previously published articles that already hold valid Zenodo/DataCite DOIs will retain their existing identifiers.

The Crossref membership will also provide the DOI registration framework for other scholarly journals published under GEORL as their publishing infrastructure develops.

This milestone represents an important step in GEORL’s continuing efforts to strengthen the visibility, reliability, accessibility, and international integration of its academic publishing activities.
